Port Aventura can be visited just for the day, or you can book a complete package including hotel accommodation, entry to the theme park and water park, and flights. Most local travel agents in the UK have details of package holidays to Port Aventura. The theme park also have their own brochure in English which is also available to download in PDF format from the Port Aventura website. Alternatively, through the web site, you can request a brochure be posted to you.
If you don't want to book a package holiday to Port Aventura, you can arrange your holiday yourself using the information below.
Ryanair have flights every day from London Stansted, London Luton, Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin. It is approximately 10 minutes drive from Reus airport to Port Aventura.
You can also fly to Barcelona airport. To get to Port Aventura from Barcelona airport takes about 1 hour by car on the motorway. There will be a small toll fee if you take the A7 motorway. The fee for a journey of about an hour is more or less €4.00.
If you have made your own way to the airport, you'll need to arrange how to get to Port Aventura once you have landed. There are several possibilities including car rental or taxi.
From Jonquera or southern Spain take exit 35 of the AP-7 motorway. This road leads directly into the park.
From Barcelona or El Vendrell, take the C-32 and then the AP-7.
From the Basque Country or Zaragoza, take the A2 motorway and then the AP-7.
If you are not travelling on the motorway, they are several other roads in the region that also lead to Port Aventura. They are the N-240 (Tarragona - Lleida), the T-11 (Tarragona - Teruel) and the N-340 (Barcelona - Valencia).
Salou is a holiday resort 10 minutes by car from Port Aventura.
Port Aventura is an enormous theme park with hundreds of rides suitable for all ages. It also has shops, bars, restaurants and shows. Next door is a water park and the park has 3 of its own 4 star hotel complexes with their own pools and facilities.
During the summer from July to September Port Aventura is also open in the evenings until midnight. You can buy various types of tickets that allow you to enter the park either for 1 day or at most 14 days.

Planning a holiday to Port Aventura means that you can opt for a complete package including accommodation and park entry or you can just select aspects that interest you, such as 1 or 2 days theme park entry and then choose your own self-catering accommodation. There is enough to do at Port Aventura to occupy a family for at least a week, but the great thing is that you can plan your holiday with a lot of flexibility.
