The Caribe hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the theme park. It’s best feature is a huge swimming pool that has a white sand beach at one end. There’s a lovely woden decked terrace surrounding the pool and a piano bar with views across the pool and gardens.

The El Paso hotel is designed in a colonial Mexican style and it is really charming. You can get lost in the complex it is so large! There are excellent facilities including restaurants, bars, a shop and a nightclub.

There’s a tourist information office inside Port Aventura theme park, and they are open from 10:00 until 19:00. They have a booklet called ‘City Salou Tourist’. It is a guide for tourists that has lots of useful information about facilities in the town of Salou. It also contains a list of hotels and their contact details.

Salou is a resort that is about 15 minutes drive from Port Aventura and because it also has a beach it makes a really good place to stay if you want to be within easy reach of the Port Aventura theme park, and enjoy some beach time.

I recommend that you contact the tourist information office about 2 months before your trip and ask them to send you information about hotels near Port Aventura. That way you have time to choose the best hotel to suit you. Remember that if you are looking to travel in the months of July and August that hotels will be very busy, start to look into booking up to 6 months in advance.

The town of Reus is about 15 minutes drive from Port Aventura. It has several good hotels including the ‘Quality Reus’ that I visited. This hotel is 5 minutes drive out of Reus in the direction of Port Aventura. It has parking, 24 hour reception and buffet breakfast. The rooms are clean and modern. It is in a great location if you want to visit Port Aventura.
