Review: San Diego Hotel Salou
The San Diego Hotel Salou is a modern looking white-washed building from the outside. There are plenty of tropical plants and trees around the pool which give it some privacy from the street. This is an excellent hotel for families and there is a children’s playground and the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the beach. This hotel is part of a chain of hotels called ‘Best Hotels’. There are several of them in Salou and they all offer a similar standard of accommodation. Hotel Facilities

area with climbing The hotel has a restaurant and a café-bar. Each are very spacious. There’s also a TV lounge and a large bricked terrace surrounding the pools with lots of sun loungers. Parking is available if requested. You can buy tickets for Port Aventura theme park in reception. RoomsThere are several hundred rooms at the San Diego Hotel Salou Park Hotel, and they are bright and modern. In 1 minute’s walk from the San Diego Hotel Salou, you’ll arrive at the Spa supermarket. There’s also a row of English bars and an Irish bar. One of the bars has internet facilities and is open all day long. In a 10 minutes walk you’ll come to the heart of the commercial centre of Salou. Here are shops, bars and restaurants and banks. Port Aventura theme park is a 10 minute drive away, together with the adjacent water park called Caribe Aquatic park. Golfing fans will find 4 golf clubs less than 30 minutes drive from the Oasis Park Hotel in Salou. The Llevant beach is within a 10 minute walk. This is a long stretch of sandy beach. Within 5 minutes walk you can also get to the smaller more sheltered coves of Platja dels Campallans and Platja del Llenguadets. These beaches also have life guard facilities and during peak season you should be able to hire pedaloes here too. How To Get From The Airport To The HotelVia Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 30 minutes and cost around 25 euros. Via bus: There’s a bus that leaves from outside the arrivals lounge and travels to Salou via La Pineda. The bus does a round trip back to the airport again. A single ticket is 5.50 euros. The journey should take about 35 - 40 minutes. The hotel is to the far east of the resort of Salou. If you get off the bus at the end of the Llevant beach you can take a taxi for 5 minutes to the hotel. Reservations
