Review: Piramide Salou Sol
The Piramide Salou Sol hotel impressed me because it is a really unusual
looking building and inside it is very clean and modern with a real arty
feel to the décor. It had pleasant poolside music when I visited
that was very relaxing in comparison with some of the other hotels in Salou
that I visited that had more of a party atmosphere.
The building is unique in that it is trying to be modern but I think still
looks a little dated. The good thing is you can’t miss it as it has
soaring blue and orange pillars and is a very unusual shape. There’s
lots of reflective glass windows, giving it a space-age effect.
The reception is spacious and a nice feature is that there are lots of
colourful pictures on the walls. If you look up once inside reception you’ll
see a soaring glass wall and internal balconies opposite that have views
across to the glass wall.

The hotel has 2 good sized swimming pools and the hotel building is surrounded
by plenty of grass which is a fairly unique feature in Salou. There’s
a lot of seating and sunbathing space too.
Facilities inside the hotel include a room with arcade games, pool tables
and next to that, a big buffet style dining area. There’s a fun pub
with entertainment and a snack bar next to the pool.
