The Hotel Las Vegas Salou

I really liked the hotel Las Vegas, Salou. It is very modern, and the pool has views to the sea. There are a couple of buildings in the view as well, but I don’t think they detract from the sparkle of the sea in the distance. The hotel Las Vegas Salou is only 95 metres from the beach.

There are interesting quirky factors to this hotel. Just inside the entrance there’s an original Singer sewing machine. Dotted around the vast lobby are other old fashioned items, including an old telephone switchboard and a gramophone. It’s rather like a stately museum.

The colour scheme is deep red and gold with pale marble floors. The bar inside has tasteful wicker chairs with big comfy cushions. The overall effect is tasteful, modern and luxurious. There’s a glass fronted lift in reception that glides silently up and down.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel has a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There are ping pong tables, a games room , pool table and children’s club and internet in reception.

The Pool At The Hotel Las Vegas Salou

The pool is well designed and there’s wooden bar next to it. The terrace area surrounding the pool is split onto two levels and there’s plenty of seating both in the sun and the shade. The whole pool area has an exotic and exclusive feel to it. It really feels like a place you can relax in style. The pool area is decorated with picturesque garden areas full of tropical plants and pine trees.

Facilities For the Disabled

The Hotel Las Vegas Salou has rooms that have been specially adapted for disabled use and entry by wheelchair.

Rooms

The rooms that face the pool have balconies that you can sit on and enjoy the views to the sea.

There are several hundred rooms at the Hotel Las Vegas Hotel, Salou. Each has an en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, safe, minibar, satellite TV, air-conditioning, central heating, telephone and balcony.

The rooms have tiled floors and are decorated in a summary style with red flowers and golden walls.

Hotel Location And Facilities

The hotel is in the heart of the newer area of Salou, on a slight slope. This area is to the east of the Llevant beach. There’s a small café opposite. The main shopping area is a 5 minute walk away.

Port Aventura theme park is a 10 minute drive away, together with the water park called Caribe Aquatic park.

There’s golf for golfing fans will less than 30 minutes drive away. You’ll find 4 golf clubs in the region.

The long and sandy Llevant beach is within a 2 minute walk. Within 10 minutes walk you can also get to the smaller more sheltered coves of Platja dels Campallans and Platja del Llenguadets. These two beaches are great for children because they are smaller and it’s easier to keep an eye on the young ones!

How To Get From The Airport To The Hotel

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 30 minutes and cost around 25 euros.

Via bus: There’s a bus that leaves from outside the arrivals lounge and travels to Salou via La Pineda. The bus does a round trip back to the airport again. A single ticket is 5.50 euros. The journey should take about 35 - 40 minutes. The hotel is to the far east of the resort of Salou. If you get off the bus at the end of the Llevant beach you can take a taxi for 5 minutes to the hotel.

Via train: The train station in Salou is a 10 minute taxi ride from the hotel Las Vegas. There are no trains from the nearest airport of Reus, but the station is served by trains from Tarragona and Barcelona.

The Hotel Las Vegas Salou is an impressive and modern hotel that has been designed with elegance in mind. It is only 95 metres from the beach and has lovely views across the pool to the sea and neighbouring buildings. There’s a children’s club and plenty of ways to relax for adults too.

The receptionist told me that the hotel only take booking through travel agencies. It’s not possible to book directly with the hotel. They operate with hundreds of travel agencies all across the UK and Europe. The price will vary slightly depending on the package booked with the agency.
