Review: Port Aventura Caribe Hotel
The Hotel Caribe in Salou is one of the hotels that people stay in when they want to visit the Port Aventura theme park. It’s in a really good location as it’s only 5 minutes drive from the theme park, and the hotel runs a shuttle service to and from the park all day through. The Hotel Caribe Salou is actually a whole resort complex in itself with entertainment, swimming pools, spa, bar, shops and restaurants. The hotel is not right in the resort of Salou, but it’s a 10 minute drive away from the main centre and beaches of Salou. Hotel Facilities
The Hotel Caribe Salou is the perfect place for families because there is an extensive entertainment program with shows every evening. You can relax and leave the children in the hands of the staff who run the Kids Club. The hotel is also great for both the old and the young or anyone who wants to relax as there is so much space you can easily find your own quiet spot. There are 2 swimming pools that are really beautifully designed with a white sand beach, bridges over the water and attractive rocks and waterfalls. It feels and looks like a corner of paradise.
There are ample opportunities for relaxing in the spa, heated indoor pool or by enjoying a massage. Keeping fit is easy with the jogging track that runs around the hotel. One of my favourite features of this hotel is the lake that is in between the two pools. Next to the lake is a wooden decked terrace with comfortable seating . Behind the terrace is a bar with a grand piano. This is a really tranquil place to site day or night. As the Hotel Caribe is linked to the Port aventura theme park, the price of entry is included in the price of your stay at the hotel. There are also some great perks from staying at the Caribe hotel, including the chance to buy an Express ticket which gets you onto the best rides ahead of the queue. The reception is vast and there are several staff who can all advise you about what is going on at the Port Aventura theme park. RoomsThe Hotel Caribe in Salou has 503 rooms and each has air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, phone, radio, minibar, safe and en-suite bathroom. Most rooms have a terrace with views over the pool or the lake and they also have king sized beds of 2 m. Hotel Location And FacilitiesPort Aventura theme park and its neighbouring Caribe Aquatic water park are 5 minutes drive away. It’s 10 minutes by car into the centre of Salou, and 10 minutes by car to the beach at Salou. Salou is the place to head if you want banks, shops, restaurants and nightlife too. How To Get From The Airport To The HotelVia Taxi: A taxi from Reus airport to the hotel Caribe Salou will take about 15 minutes and will cost approximately 16 euros. Via Bus: There’s a bus from Reus airport to Salou or La Pineda. From there you will have to take a taxi for another 5 – 10 minutes. The bus from Reus airport leaves from outside the arrivals doorway. A single ticket costs 5.50 euros. Via Car: It’s possible to drive from Reus airport to the hotel Caribe in around 15 minutes. You follow the A7 motorway (sometimes also called AP7) and come off at the exit signposted for Port Aventura. The hotel is off the main entry road into the park. You’ll see a sign for ‘hotels’. In A NutshellThe Hotel Caribe Salou is an entire complex in itself. The kids club is a great way for the children to enjoy themselves while parents relax in the spa or in one of the 2 swimming pools. With the price of your stay at the hotel you can also enter the Port Aventura theme park and the hotel Caribe is close enough to Salou centre for you to be able to visit the beaches and commercial centre there for a day or two.
