Review: Euro Salou Hotel
The Euro Salou Hotel is a really good place to stay if you want to sleep outside of the bustling ‘nightlife’ zone of Salou. You can still walk to the centre in 10 – 15 minutes, but this hotel is located in a more traditionally Spanish area where you’ll find tapas bars and within 5 minutes walk is the port.
Hotel FacilitiesThe hotel has a swimming pool that is quite small, but is surrounded by landscaped gardens with plants and trees. There’s also a children’s pool, a games room, and a TV lounge. There are nice comfortable looking wicker chairs inside in the lobby. The hotel has a spa which is great for helping you relax on holiday. Other leisure facilities include it’s own disco/pub, pool bar and a bar/café. Car hire is available through reception. RoomsThere are 294 rooms that each have an en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, air-conditioning, central heating, telephone and balcony. There are rooms available on the 7th floor that have king-sized beds of 2m x 2m. Hotel Location And Facilities
The hotel is in the heart of the more Spanish area of Salou. This area is to the west of the Llevant beach. The street that the hotel is on, is lined with palm trees. There are beach shops, and a couple of terrace bars and a café opposite. To walk to the main commercial centre takes about 15 minutes if you go along the seafront. Along the seafront road are plenty of international restaurants and cashpoints. You can get to Port Aventura theme park in 10 minutes by car or taxi. Next to Port Aventura is the water park called Caribe Aquatic park. Both the Llevant and Ponent beaches are within 700 metres (this equals a 10 minute walk). How To Get From The Airport To The HotelVia Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 30 minutes and cost around 25 euros. Via bus: There’s a bus that leaves from outside the arrivals lounge and travels to Salou via La Pineda. The bus does a round trip back to the airport again. A single ticket is 5.50 euros. The journey should take about 35 - 40 minutes. The hotel is few minutes back from the seafront, behind the port in the resort of Salou. If you get off the bus at the end of the Llevant beach (at the port end) you can take a taxi for 5 minutes to the hotel. Via train: The train station in Salou is a 10 minute walk from the Euro Salou hotel. There are no trains from the nearest airport of Reus, but the station is served by trains from Tarragona and Barcelona. Reservations
