Review: Los Angeles Hotel Salou
This is another hotel in the chain of ‘Best Hotels’ that are spread across Salou. Hey are similar in style and offer good facilities for families. When you enter the Los Angeles Hotel Salou you’ll feel a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The interior décor feels as though it is from a bygone era, but the hotel is clean and tidy. The Los Angeles hotel is a big hotel with several hundred rooms. This is great for families as there were lots of children around during my visit in August. Hotel FacilitiesThere are 2 swimming pools, one is for adults and one is for children. The hotel offers a picnic service if you order it before 20:00 the previous day. You can get your tickets for the Port Aventura theme park in reception. The hotel has a spacious café bar inside. The pool isn’t huge but during my visit in August I wouldn’t say it was too crowded. There’s plenty of seating around the pool area.
There’s a pool table and other amusement games for children. You’ll also find a second restaurants where formal clothing is required to dine there. Car parking is available, but always check when you are booking if there is space available. Facilities For The DisabledThere are 2 rooms specially adapted for disabled access. They have wide doors and showers that are easy to access with a standard wheelchair. RoomsThe rooms all have a telephone, TV, safe, heating and air-conditioning. They also all have a small balcony and some rooms look down onto the pool. They are comfortable and basically furnished. Hotel Location And Facilities
The Los Angeles Hotel Salou is on a street where there are souvenir shops opposite and a few bars that serve Guinness and pints of beer. Los Angeles Hotel Salou is only 10 minutes walk from the Llevant beach, and you can also walk in the same time to the smaller Capellans beach. To get to the centre of Salou where all the shops, bas and restaurants are, you only have a 10 minute walk. The immediate road where the hotel is located is quiet during the day. All I could hear was the sound of children playing in the pool. There are a few trees and plants around which give the area a nice feel. The well known theme park of Port Aventura is a 10 minute drive away. So is the adjoining water park called Caribe Aquatic park. These are 2 major attractions for families, and you can easily spend 3 whole days visiting everything there is to see there. There are 4 golf clubs less than 30 minutes drive from the Los Angeles Hotel in Salou. How To Travel From The Airport To The HotelVia Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 30 minutes and cost around 25 euros. Via bus: There’s a bus that leaves from outside the arrivals lounge and travels to Salou via La Pineda. The bus does a round trip back to the airport again. A single ticket is 5.50 euros. The journey should take about 35 - 40 minutes. The hotel is near the end of the Llevant beach. The Los Angeles Hotel Salou is a fantastic place for families as it is close to 2 beaches and it even has its own special children’s pool. It’s a large and friendly hotel that is only 10 minutes walk from all the amenities. Los Angeles Hotel Salou – 3 Star Rack RatesThe price per person for bed and breakfast during August is 40 euros (including VAT). There is also the option to stay half board or full board.
