The unique factor about Murphy´s Pub is that they have 12 satellite dishes
that pick up sporting events from all over the world. They also have 3
giant TV screens and 5 normal sized TVs and can show 4 different programs
simultaneously. Sports fans are spoilt for choice!
You’ll see blackboards outside that give details of up and coming
events to be screened. Murphy´s Pub is popular so get there early for a
good seat. Although the screens are so big that you can see them well from
most places inside the pub.
The Selection Of Food In Murphy´s Pub Will Satisfy Even The Hungriest Customers
Most people were drinking Guinness when I visited – a testament
to its quality. If you still have room to eat after consuming a couple
of pints of Guinness then Murphy´s offer food for all the family, including
the children. They start with breakfasts. The ingredients all come from
Ireland and the customers told me that the fried breakfasts are really
authentically Irish.
They also have a menu offering chips, burgers, chicken wings and hot dogs.
The children have a choice of nuggets and fish fingers and so on. The prices
are reasonable, which makes it a good place for the whole family to eat.
Murphy´s seem to pride themselves on their imported beers. They have Bulmers
on draught, and say they are the only bar in Spain to import it. They also
serve Murphy´s , Guinness and Carlsberg. There’s plenty more drink
to choose from that you’ll be familiar with and Spanish beers as
well.
You Can Express Your Musical Talent In Murphy´s Pub
As well as professional Irish entertainers, Murphy´s gives the customers
the chance to get up on stage and jam along with the musicians. Whether
you can sing or not they encourage the customers to get up and give it
a try. They do also have regular performances which are detailed on the
blackboards outside the bar.
How To Get To Murphy´s Pub Salou
Murphy´s Pub in Salou is on a street called Calle del Penedes. On a map
of Salou you’ll find this street to the east, not far back from the
beach.
It is in an area where there is lots of nightlife. The street of Penedes
is full of bars. There are a couple more British bars along the same stretch
too. The staff told me that the taxi drivers in Salou all know ‘Murphy´s ’.
