 |
| The Entrance To The Caribe Aquatic |
The Caribe Aquatic Park is right next door to the Port Aventura Theme
Park. It’s all part of the same complex. The Port Aventura theme
park is the larger and more well known of the two parks and tends to be
the one you’ll see the signposts for when you approach by road.
Port Aventura and the Caribe Aquatic Park were also once collectively
known as ‘Universal Studios’ although this is no longer the
official name, you may still see some old sign posts with this name on
them.
 |
| You Have To Pay At the Booth To Park Your Car |
The park is 5 minutes drive from the resort of Salou which is on the coast.
You have to go through the same entry point to get to the Caribe Aquatic
Park as you do for Port Aventura. This means if you are travelling by car
that you will have to pay 6 euros parking fee at the toll booths.
Opening Hours Of The Caribe Aquatic Park
From 10:00 until 18:00 or 19:00 (this varies depending on the day)
from 24th May until September when the outdoor area closes and only the indoor area
remains open.
Times are subject to change throughout the year, so always double check
with the park before going.

Tickets And Prices For The Caribe Aquatic Park
You can buy a ticket for the park if you book at an associated
hotel. There’s more about which hotels offer this in the next section
below. If you aren’t staying in an associated hotel you can buy a
ticket for the Caribe Water Park at the entry gate or you can buy your ticket online.
I’ve visited the park twice. Once in July and once in August.
In August it was noticeably more busy, so you’ll have to be prepared
to queue for up to half an hour if you arrive in the morning. When I left
in the afternoon there were significantly less people queuing to get in.

at the Caribe Aquatic Park
Once inside the park there are lockers to your left. You have to go to a specially signposted kiosk to hire a locker. The kiosk also has
lifejackets and rubber rings for children.

‘Consigna’ Is The Area Where You’ll
Find The Lockers |
You need a big rubber ring to go on most of the rides. The rubber rings are supplied as doubles or singles.
 |
| If You Don’t Get To The Caribe Aquatic Park Early In August
There May Not Be Any Rubber Rings Left |
On my visit in August there were no rubber rings left once I got to the
front of the queue at 11:30, and so I couldn’t get on some of
the flumes or float round the lazy river.
Prices for Lockers, Rubber Rings, sunbeds
Locker rental is from 4 euros plus an additional 3 euros deposit (you
have to return the ticket to get the deposit back and then they offer
you a choice of the deposit or a bag)
Family locker 7 euros plus 3 euros deposit
Single rubber ring is 6 euros plus 3 euros deposit
Double rings 9 euros plus 3 euros deposit
Towels 3 euros plus 3 euros deposit
Life jacket is free but you pay a 30 euro deposit
Sunbeds are 4 euros each.
 |
| The Queues For The Lockers Aren’t Too Long Even In August |
The Caribe Aquatic Park is a reasonably priced day out for all the family.
In August there will be queues to get in for the first two or three hours
after the park opens, and if you arrive later you may not be able to get
hold of a rubber ring. However there’s room to sit and relax in the
sun and splash about in the pools.
